Get To Know Tiffany And Why She Said Yes To Being A Model
How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?
My friend Valerie Sharr flattered me by asking if I'd like to be a model for a good cause. My first thought was, of course!
What made you say yes?
I attended the 2019 event and it was so much fun, I was thrilled by the opportunity to participate and give back in such a meaningful way to such a wonderful cause.
What is your official job title?
Director of Business Advocacy
How would you describe your job to your mother?
I lead the Chamber’s public policy and leadership development efforts and advocate to policy-makers and various units of government to insure a business-friendly regulatory environment enabling employers and employees to thrive in our community.
All families are unique, tell us about yours...
My family is truly one-of-a-kind. My husband Chris and I share a passion for politics and we met in 2011 in Salem, while we were both working in the state legislature. I moved to Eugene from Bend in 2012 and we were married in 2015, becoming a family of 4. I have the honor of sharing all of the joys of parenting with Chris for his two children, Simon and Anna. Simon is 17 and loves driving, Boy Scouts and anything and everything Star Wars. Anna is 10 and loves to be around her friends. She plays soccer and volleyball and loves theater and acting. I feel absolutely blessed with the best husband and kids in the world!
Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.
I'm very involved in my community in many ways and love my job, where I feel I can make a difference. I also serve as the Chair of the Eugene Planning Commission and sit on a number of Boards and committees working to improve the lives of people living in our area. With my personal time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, spending time outdoors and recently discovered a passion for design, having completely designed my family's newly constructed home from the ground up.
What is something that you swore you would never do as a parent before you had kids that you do now?
I swore I would never coddle and do everything for them, but it's hard to help myself.
What is something that people might be surprised to know about you?
I grew up playing and performing music and used to sing and compose songs.
Who inspired you when you were growing up?
There's nobody in particular but I've always been inspired by people who embrace life and find happiness in everything they do. It's always very noticeable to me and I find it an inspiration.
If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?
All of the insecurities you feel at times, are felt by everybody. Don't be afraid to ask for advice.
