How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?

No one says “no” to Amy Newport!   My first thought...Do I have to go on stage?

Anything that can help kids in a positive way is an awesome opportunity.  I love kids.

Co-Owner-Uphold Appraisal Team

 

How would you describe your job to your mother?

Run a residential appraisal company with my husband.

Jeff and I have been married 13 years and have an 11 year old named William.  I am blessed to be a bonus Mom to Eric (21), and Brad (17).

 

Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.

I love dogs and would love to rescue full time someday.  I have 3 basset hounds.

 

Who inspired you when you were growing up, and why?

Both of my parents taught me how to work hard.  My Dad is my hero in all things.  He showed me how important it is to be kind to everyone regardless, and was the most selfless human being I’ve ever known.

 

If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?

Quit apologizing so much!
