Get To Know Joe And Why He Said Yes To Being A Model

How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?

Melissa Koke, I thought how long of a year it had been and whether this was something I was up to.

What made you say yes?

We had been to the Catwalk the previous two years and it looked like a great event with really great people being involved. This seemed like the perfect opportunity to help out a wonderful organization. After I had already said yes I got the chance to meet the father of the "littles" that I will be working with, he had expressed how big of a difference that having access to the club made for their family. This solidified my decision to join.

What is your official job title?

Vice President

How would you describe your job to your mother?

Mom, listen, they call me the Vice man for a reason. I sell alcohol, tobacco and gambling to people.

All families are unique, tell us about yours...

We'll stick with Unique.

Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.

I like to do things outside, gardening, golfing, fishing and hunting for various things are all high on my list. Combining these with my wife and kids is what I love most.

What is something that you swore you would never do as a parent before you had kids that you do now?

Life is too full of limitations, I just knew I wanted to hug, kiss and tell my kids I loved them everyday. Mission accomplished so far.

What is something that people might be surprised to know about you?

If you know how much I like heights you might be surprised to know that I have be skydiving. Of all the fears that come along with that, nearly breaking my ankle was not one of them, but it happened.

Who inspired you when you were growing up?

I might not have been inspired at the time but as I got older my dad really showed me a strong message about work ethic. On the flip side his work ethic has nearly destroyed his body, so I make sure to take it easy sometimes as well

If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?

OK listen Joe, there's going to be these companies come along called Microsoft, Amazon, Google and Facebook. Put ALL of your money into them. No don't be stupid you don't need a car, you can buy a plane, trust me.
