How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?

My best friend, Amy Newport "Volun-told Me". :) I was completely honored and thought, I can rock this!!

 

Why did you say yes?

I was a single mom for my son's whole life so, to give back to children and parents who need a safe amazing place
for the kiddos was a YES for me!!

 

What is your official job title?

Administrative Assistant

 

How would you describe your job to your mother?

I am in a business where we help people get into their dream homes with a huge smile.
I'm a big part of keeping the top 2 Loan officers on task in their daily calendar so, that they can be at their very best for their clients.

What is your favorite part of your occupation?

Keeping my boss organized and on task, and planning amazing events for our company.

 

All families are unique, tell us about yours:

I am a mama to one amazing son, Maya who is 21 :) He and his beautiful girlfriend and their weiner dog- Cash are my whole world. I also have one crazy cat- Bubbalicious.
I grew up in a little tiny farm town in California. I have one brother Joseph and one sister Cindy. I have a cousin I was raised with who is more like a sister to me. I have amazing childhood memories of my siblings and cousins pranking each other and wood cutting trips in the mountains. We are wild, crazy and laugh a lot! I love them to pieces! I am lucky enough to have amazing friends who are also my family :) I get my humor from my dad, who is one of the funniest people I know. He is always making me laugh.

Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.

I am passionate about everything I do in my life. If it's watching my friend's kids play basketball or just hanging out with my friends they all get to experience it. :) I'm a total goof ball and making people laugh is one of my favorite past times. Everyone has a nickname for me, just ask them :)
I love to read books, sew and work out. I am a huge sports fan. I love to organize and plan events...it has become one of my favorite things to do.

 

What is something that you swore you would never do as a parent before you had kids that you do now?

Curse...a lot!

 

Who inspired you when you were growing up, and why?

My auntie Carolyn. She was the strongest woman I knew and always opened her home and heart to us when we needed her.

 

If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?

Be yourself. Be silly. Be Confident...and laugh your buns off!
