Get To Know Di And Why She Said Yes To Being A Model
How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?
Allan Benavides asked my hubby if I’d like to. Danny of course said I would love to do it because I have an affection for kids and sports and was a model in my younger years.
Why did you say yes?
My husband was right. Yes, that is in ink! :)
What is your official job title?
Executive Director of Business Engagement with U.S. Bank Payment Solutions
How would you describe your job to your mother?
P.R., Marketing and Sales management
All families are unique, tell us about yours.
I am married to an incredibly handsome, smart and witty man who truly adores me – Danny LaCoste. We met by him interviewing me at U.S. Bank. The interview turned into a personal 2 hr conversation – which of course, I couldn’t take the job because he was too cute! He is the Region President for U.S. Bank in Lane and Douglas County. We have 3 children (3.5 years apart in age) Pierce (17), Sr at Marist, Honors Society Member, local accomplished trackster and was recruited by the Oregon Ducks to be a decathlete next year, Regan (15), Soph at Sheldon and is a flyer on the varsity team. She has a passion for fashion and beauty and is very creative. Monroe (13), 8th grade at O’Hara is following in her sisters footsteps and wants to do cheer next year with her. She loves volleyball, fashion and beauty as well and is an honor roll student.
What is something that you swore you would never do as a parent before you had kids that you do now?
I tell them “life isn’t fair.” Hmmpphh
Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.
I’m passionate about being a good Christian, wife and mother to my kids. I excel at my work because I’m a sincere and caring people person which allows me to build/deepen relationships resulting in increased sales. My hobbies are physical fitness and home design/décor. Danny & I have remodeled several homes together AND yet, are still very much in love.
Who inspired you when you were growing up, and why?
My inspiration comes from my religion and my personal hardships. These events and relationships made me an incredibly motivated and strong person. I learned early on that I’m in control of my destiny and who I want to be as an adult, mother & wife. Every day is a gift from God and a chance to be a better version of me.
If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?
“Rise up, take courage and do it!” Ezra 10:4
