Get To Know Andrew And Why He Said Yes To Being A Model

How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?

My best friend Chris participated last year. I went to the show and I thought it was truly amazing. When learning more about the Catwalk for a Cause and the fact that 100% of the money raised goes towards our local Boys and Girls Club in Eugene I was excited and honored to participate in the event.

Why did you say yes?

I said yes because it has been a priority of mine to be more involved and give back to the community. I love meeting new people and making new connections. I thought this would be a great way to connect with others while supporting such a great cause.

What is your official job title?

Sales Associate

How would you describe your job to your mother?

I sell Jewelry to people. :)

What is your favorite part of your occupation?

My favorite part of my job is the person to person contact that I have. Every single customer I have contact with is a completely different person with their own unique story. These interactions can end in quick conversations or very lasting business relationships. The customer service aspect that no two people or two transactions are the same makes my job something I look forward to every day.

All families are unique, tell us about yours.

I would describe my family as very unique. No matter how far away we are from each other, we will end up back together. My family is home. We might not always see eye to eye, but we always have each others back. At the end of the day we are family and will always be exceptionally close. I love my family!

Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.

I have literally no personal talents. I enjoy playing sports, going to Oregon Duck games and spending time with my friends and family. I love making new friends and new connections. I also enjoy finding a way to help people, for whatever their needs may be. I am so boring!

Who inspired you when you were growing up, and why?

My biggest inspiration is my mom. She is an amazing person who has always volunteered in our community with the biggest smile! Ever since I was little she volunteered with St. Paul School in basically every event they held or with anything they needed. She has always been heavily involved in all types of events and community service opportunities. Because of the inspiration my mom instilled in me, I participated in the Mr. Spartan Pageant which benefited the Children’s Miracle Network.  My mom has always inspired me to give back to the community in any way I can, which is why I am truly honored to be a part of the Catwalk for a Cause!

If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?

This is a tough one. The work that you put in for something that you want is measured not by what people see, but by the amount of work you put in when people are not watching.
