Get To Know Aaron And Why He Said Yes To Being A Model
How did you get roped into doing this, and what was your first thought when asked?
Amy Newport mentioned the opportunity to me at an event, and my mind instantly traveled to the red carpet with the paparazzi snapping photos of yours truly. :)
Why did you say yes?
I'm very passionate about keeping youth engaged in activities, and this will be a fun way to help an organization that shares my passion.
What is your official job title?
Assistant Golf Professional & Event Manager
How would you describe your job to your mother?
I'm involved in every aspect of the golf course out side of growing and cutting grass.
All families are unique, tell us about yours.
My "Eugene Family" consists of my girlfriend, Megan, and her three kids: Kameron, Kendall and Karter. Debbie, Rick, and Ellen have played a huge role in my growth as well as my close circle of friends.
Tell us about your personal passions, talents, and/or hobbies.
This will sound predictable, but golf! I love this great game and plan to play, teach, and promote it for the rest of my life. Also, I'm fairly active (for a round fellow) playing indoor soccer during the winter.
What is something that you swore you would never do as a parent before you had kids that you do now?
I'm still new to this parenting thing, and so far I haven't had that "I sound like my dad" moment.
Who inspired you when you were growing up, and why?
Grandpa Malmo worked very hard, supports his family through thick and thin, and possesses a heart of gold. He has had a tremendous impact on my life, and I strive to live like him every day.
If you could go back and talk to your 12-year-old self, what would you say?
Commit to the activities in which you participate. Nothing worth having comes easy, so dedicate your time and energy to your passions.
